London Pub Summit 2012
Added by itxaso on Wed 20th Jun, 2012 09:53Yesterday Mike Butcher and Paddy Cosgrave organized another massive Pub Summit at The Alchemist in East London. There were more than 1,000 people signed up. No registration process, so we went directly to drinks. The first round of drinks was on EC1 Capital. Hope you enjoyed it.
Among the attendees were many London startups including GroupSpaces, BookingBug and Lookk. Also some big corporates like eBay, Blackberry and Qualcomm. Of course, the media guys were there too: The Next Web team from Greece and Diario dell'Innovazione from Italy. Any investors? I did not see too many, Carlos Espinal from Seedcamp was there and some angels too.
I had the pleasure to take a bit of Paddy's precious time. He has some very interesting stories about his life growing up on a farm. He started combining coding and apple collecting activities at his parents farm, moved to help Hillary Clinton? build an online election campaign and ended up organising the great conferences in Dublin and London. Thanks Paddy for the event and the great conversation!
